Louis Sobel MD
Dr. Louis Sobel practices Comprehensive ophthalmology and is fellowship trained with a specialty in glaucoma since 1986. Dr. Sobel also specializes in complex contact lens fittings.
Dr. Sobel is a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been board certified since 1986.
Following his undergraduate education at Brandeis University, Dr. Sobel earned his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He then completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital and his ophthalmology residency at Mount Sinai Hospital where is is currenly on the teaching staff.
Dr. Sobel completed an additional year of training as a fellow in glaucoma at the New York Eye and Ear infirmary.
Dr. Sobel is the author of numerous publications. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is currently on the attending staff of Mount Sinai Hospital. Lenox Hill Hospital and The Manhattan Eye and Ear Institute.
